Paintball and Lasertage two disciplines are very similar - both simulated "kill" your opponents. Lasertage uses harnesses and lights to save The Hits and Misses when using paintball guns to propel the paint-filled pellets to your opponents. Personally I prefer paintball on Lasertage. There is an element of realism involved in paintball is simply impossible to replicate with the whirring and beeping lights Lasertage. There nothing like the sound of the pellets flew to get the adrenaline rushing and you really pull in a game of paintball.

The realism of a paintball game is undeniable. When dealing with paint guns, you must adjust your aim for the wind speed and distance from your target when you are in need of a real battlefield. For a laser based light, it may be technically easier to make more just incredibly longer distances. This clarification, however, is simply not realistic. The disadvantage is that to mark a ball in Lasertage, you must have a direct line of sight to the sensor equipment of your opponent. On the other hand, in paintball there is no relevant sensors, so that all exposed parts are fair game! You can nail all those who are exposed to everyone in the paintball, so you can make the shot.

Although recent harness equip a laser system to record near misses, it's just not the same feeling as dodging paintball pellets. There is something about the sound of pellets spinning and lifting the dirt as they zing past that really gets the adrenaline flowing. When you get hit with a ball of paint, you can feel it!
